Hi, we're Travis & Alyssa — the husband-and-wife team behind Ivory Barn.
Our Story
Our story began over 10 years ago behind the camera, capturing weddings and creating films for couples and businesses across Victoria. Together we've filmed hundreds of weddings, giving us a unique perspective on what truly makes a wedding unforgettable — not just beautiful styling, but genuine moments, exceptional hospitality and a seamless experience from beginning to end.
For years we dreamed of creating a venue where couples could experience all of that in one place.
That dream first became a reality with Ivory Pavilion in Buninyong. After discovering the beautiful country town just over an hour from Geelong, we spent eight and a half months transforming and restoring an entire upper level of the Buninyong Golf Club into the wedding venue it is today. Since opening, Ivory Pavilion has become a fully booked, award-worthy venue, welcoming not only local couples but many families from Geelong who love escaping to the peaceful country for a romantic wedding weekend.
Today, we're incredibly excited to bring everything we've learned to Ivory Barn.
Nestled amongst beautiful natural surrounds, Ivory Barn offers a relaxed country setting with all the warmth, charm and personal touches we've become known for. It's a place where weddings feel effortless, celebrations feel intimate, and every guest feels welcome.
More Than a Wedding Venue
Ivory Barn is also home to our café — a space created for the whole community.
We wanted to build somewhere families could gather for breakfast, friends could catch up over coffee, travellers could pause and unwind, and children could play while parents relaxed.
Located just minutes from Ocean Grove, Barwon Heads, Leopold and Drysdale, and surrounded by wineries, beaches, boutique accommodation and stunning coastal attractions, Ivory Barn is perfectly positioned for locals and visitors alike.
Inside you'll find a welcoming kids' corner, while outside little ones can enjoy lawn games including Giant Jenga and bag toss. As parents ourselves — and proud dog owners — we know how special it is to find places where every member of the family, including your four-legged companions, is welcome.

Creating Ivory Barn has always been about more than beautiful weddings.
It's about building a place that creates meaningful employment for passionate hospitality professionals, supports our local community, and becomes somewhere people genuinely love returning to.
Food is also something we're incredibly passionate about. Alyssa follows a vegan lifestyle and Travis is pescatarian, so offering delicious options for vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian and gluten-free guests is something close to our hearts. Everyone deserves to feel included around the table, and we've carefully designed our menus with that philosophy in mind — alongside all your café favourites.
